Bratstvo 1869 Community Center in Kyustendil, Bulgaria announces the regulations for the 30th International Classical Guitar Competition – Kyustendil, to be held from April 8 to 10, 2027.
This Anniversary edition marks three decades dedicated to the classical guitar, young talent, and the development of the art of guitar playing in Bulgaria and Europe.
Every year, the competition brings together young guitarists from Bulgaria and abroad - school students, university students, and performers - giving them the opportunity to showcase their musical skills before a distinguished jury and an audience.
The competition is included in the Ministry of Culture’s Program for the Protection of Children with Outstanding Gifts; this program provides targeted financial support and one-year scholarships to participants who place first, second, or third in the second and third age groups.
In 2027, the competition program will once again be accompanied by masterclasses, recitals, lectures, creative meetings, and exhibitions that showcase the art of the classical guitar and bring together musicians and educators from Bulgaria and abroad. The program fosters the professional development of young performers and creates opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices.
